“What a great time the bike trip was! I am not one to take tours, but I found this bike trip down Chimborazo well worth its weight in gold. The whole package of the short hike up the mountain, coca tea, snapping a few pics and cruising off into the misty mountain air will stick with me for a lifetime. The green trail, which is only a couple small uphills and few dollars more comes highly recommended. The opportunity to get off the pavement and back into the local´s stomping grounds gave us the flavor we were looking for. Plenty of Alpacas, sweet trails, beautiful landscapes and local smiles to wet the taste buds. Of course the whole trip does not hinge on just the surroundings, it is the guide that put the icing on the cake. Edison was a great guide with plenty of stories and smiles to share. With the experience and knowledge under his helmet, he would gladly be the first person I would recommend for a great experience down Chimborazo any day. Best...”

We reached 5300 meters at the base of the Whymper needles and then rode the bikes 37 km until San Juan following some hidden trails and single tracks from the first station on 4800 meters, this one and the section close to the Inca Ruins are a dream for a mountain biker!!, the bikes are very well maintained, disc brakes and good fork suspensions, we didn´t expect to find this kind of gear in Ecuador.
